Corporate Entrepreneurship – Guest Lecture

Guest lecture delivered for Louisiana Tech University’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, to students in their corporate entrepreneurship course.

A conversation rather than a lecture: what angel, venture and strategic investors each want and why those goals diverge at an exit, how uncommon venture capital is against the number of businesses started every year, and what happens after an acquisition when the team that built the company becomes its employees. Students hear the parts of the journey that rarely make the headlines, how to ask better questions, and how to weigh whose advice is worth taking.
